Bali International Film Festival 2014 : Bali
Overview

BALINALE International Film Festival

12-18 October 2014

was established in 2007 by Bali Taksu Indonesia Foundation - a non-profit, non-government Indonesian registered charity organization. Known for its specialized knowledge and importance in promoting Indonesia’s film industry growth, the festival has a long history of supporting established and aspiring local filmmakers providing a platform for Indonesians while presenting a program of award winning feature, documentary and short films from around the world.

BALINALE is the only international film festival in Indonesia and recognized internationally for the quality and diversity of its programming and its professional delivery of the associated events. BALINALE invites foreign filmmakers to experience the country's rich culture and diverse locations for possible film projects. The festival is affiliated with Motion Picture Association, Asian Film Commissions Network, Asia Pacific Screen Awards (Brisbane, Australia) and ASEAN International Film Festival & Awards (Kuching, Malaysia) and in 2013 supported the APEC Sound and Motion Festival Program.

Workshops and seminars are an important part of the festival offering students and young filmmakers an opportunity to learn from established Indonesian and international professionals. Participation of Oscar®, Emmy®, BAFTA® and Cannes award winning filmmakers have helped us to achieve our goals of bringing together films and their makers as a gathering of global creativity.

The festival holds the honour of being endorsed by the Ministries of Industry, Tourism and Creative Economy, Education and Culture, Bali Provincial Government and Regency of Badung.
